But a few students get a job. Most of the students suffering from distinguished unemployment. The number of unemployed people has been growing at an alarming rate.
Reasons For Creating This Problem:
Our Education System:
Our education system is planned and regulated. In such a system of education that has a duration of courses and procedures of examination. There is a fixed syllabus. Students complete this syllabus in a time and give the examination. But they don’t know if they acquire any knowledge. Most of the students think that their only duty is to complete their academic career and take a degree.
Moreover no subject or textbook seems students in joyful. They think education is a boring part of their life. So, they read-only to pass examination not to acquire knowledge. Thus they finished their academic education and take a degree. But their tree of knowledge is zero. As a result, after finishing their education, they do not get any job for the lack of proper knowledge. So, they are frustrated and sometimes they committed suicide. Sometimes we see that though proper educated they do not get a good job. Because as an overpopulated country the government can’t provide job everyone.
Lack Of Technical Education And Skills:
We know that there are two types of education- General education and technical education. Technical education means practical knowledge. It is very important to student life. Because general education can fulfil the demand for education but it surely can not fulfil one’s essential needs. Our students have no practical knowledge. Moreover lack of various skills like English skill, Computer skill are responsible for do not get a job. These skills help a student to get a job.
Ways Of How Can Solve This Problem:
Compulsory Technical Education:
Education makes a man perfect but only general education can not provide everything in a man. Without technical education, a man can not be special. A man who has technical education can get a job easily and can become self-reliant. We know that modern globalisation world is the world of the survival of the fittest. But general education very often can not provide a man with any employment. So, technical education is must get a job. Technical education provides practical skills. It provides job in the respective fields. A person obtaining vocational training is sure to succeed with his technology-based knowledge. A man can not properly be educated without practical knowledge. Technical education is job oriented. So, in the perspective of Bangladesh, technical education should be compulsory for all.
Improve English Skill:
Today importance of English needs no explanation. Good English skill is essential to succeeding in an education career. Being fluent in the English language is certainly a plus point in the globalised world. Without the English language, the present world could not reach its present heights. In Bangladesh English is the most important foreign language both for students and others. Lack of learning and using English we have to face many problems in our day to day life. A job advertisement in the local market requires English knowing people. So, people knowing English are considered for a job on a priority basis. Proficiency in English is often considered the standard of qualification. That is to say English is essential for getting a good job and better salaries. So, students must start to improve their English skill at the beginning of the academic year. There is no scope to ignore English learning. Because it is evident that a good career largely depends on the knowledge of English. The importance of English is undeniable. It is a golden door to step into a successful future.
Develop Computer Skill:
In the present time, the role of the computer is indescribable. For all kinds of technological development, the computer is very essential. It is the precondition for any job. Demand for computer knowledge is an increase in various government and private sector jobs day by day. Without computer skill, one can backwater in the competitive job market. So, to make good career students should try to improve computer skill.
ICT- Based Education:
ICT means Information and Communication Technology. Education without ICT knowledge is now obsolete and outdated. Information Technology is expanding rapidly. So, ICT-based education is very important for students to make a good career. It is the systematic transmission of knowledge, skills and values to develop a workforce. ICT-based education helps people acquire skills and provide better access for them to employment and income. Nowadays, there is the multifarious uses sand impact of ICT in the professional sectors in Bangladesh. Two types of impact of ICT are noticed in the ICT sector. At first, the introduction of ICT in the prevailing working sectors has enhanced the skills of employees and extended the market. On the other hand, ICT has created new job opportunities. It helps to minimize unemployment. So, priority should be given on spreading ICT-based education. It pays a vital role to develop skills and get a good job.
Improve General Knowledge:
Most of the students in our country have no general knowledge. Their knowledge confirmed in the textbook only. They have no outdoor knowledge. They do not know what happened in the world or the country. Lack of general knowledge creates a big problem in the future. If you want to be properly educated or good learner you must know minimum general knowledge. This help people in the job interview and BCS examination. So, students should try to improve their general knowledge.
Come Back To Traditional Education System:
We know that formal education makes a man highly educated and establish him in society. Formal education is our traditional education system. Formal education is generally in three processes in our country firstly read textbook only secondly give examination at a fixed time and finally promote the next class. This academic process does not help a student to build a golden future. So, this education system needs some change. We hope that the government should take the necessary steps to change this monotonous education system.
Self- employment:
Self-employment is the process of using one’s knowledge, intelligence, efficiency and taking a minimum risk. Unemployment is one of the major problems in our country. So, it is better to be self-employment rather than search for a job. It can be a useful alternative to solve the problem of unemployment. It is a great and honourable job to create self-employment in our country.
In conclusion, we can say that
Educated unemployment problem neither only the government not only the people can solve. To solve this great problem there is the necessity of the combined efforts of the people in general and the government. Our system of education fails to give a student an independent start in life as it has little provision for vocational training. So, we should try to underpin vocational training in our education system. I hope that one day we can eliminate this problem in our country.
