Abstract

Organisations must adapt in today’s digitally disrupted environment to stay relevant and competitive. Because of how the rise of digital technology has altered the business landscape, companies that embrace digital transformation are better positioned to prosper. This thesis examines how corporate management strategies are affected by digital transformation in an effort to shed light on how firms can successfully transition to the digital era.The paper starts out by providing a summary of the idea of digital transformation and how it affects enterprises. The literature assessment indicates that the process of digital transformation entails integrating digital technology into every facet of an organisation, including operations, customer interactions, and strategy. Its motivating factors are the need to meet shifting customer expectations, enhance operational performance, and gain a competitive edge. This study’s research approach uses a mixed-methods strategy that integrates qualitative and quantitative research techniques. Both primary and secondary data sources are used in this study, including corporate executive interviews, employee surveys, and a review of previous studies. The study’s findings demonstrate that digital transformation has a substantial impact on business management techniques. It has altered how businesses operate and interact with their customers. It has also created new marketplaces, business models, and markets, as well as increased innovation and agility. Organisations face challenges as a result of the digital transformation, including the need to manage data security, the need for new skills and competences, and the potential for disintermediation. If businesses want to successfully transition to the digital age, they must put in place a planned digital transformation strategy. This requires nurturing a culture of innovation and experimentation, making the necessary investments in technology and employees, and creating a crystal-clear vision and digital transformation strategy. In order to adapt their strategies to changing customer needs, businesses must also develop an agile and iterative digital transformation approach. The conclusion of this thesis discusses how digital transformation affects business management techniques. It emphasises the need for businesses to approach digital transformation strategically in order to successfully navigate the opportunities and challenges presented by the digital era. The study’s conclusions are important for companies of all sizes and in all sectors, and they provide a framework for businesses to use digital technology effectively to add value and spur growth.
