Abstract

The world is developing day by day. So, do our movies. Nowadays we can see different categories of movies. Animation Movies are one of them. I this article I will talk about “The Magic of Animation Movies”.

Introduction

Are you bored in this pandemic? Do you want to watch something which can change your mood? Then animation movies are the best option for you. They can boost up your mind easily in no time. It is a type of movie where all ages of people can enjoy it. In my article, I will tell you about animation movies, how they are made and some of the best animation movies of all time.

Animation Movies

The photographic process was puppets, drawings, models create a moving illusion trough sequence is called animation movies. Here figures are used as moving images.

In the past in traditional animation, images were painted or drawn by hand using celluloid sheets to be exhibited on films.  But now in the modern world, CGI (Computer Generated Imagery) is used to make animation movies. In this process, 2D computer animation, 3D animation, low bandwidth, and faster real-time renderings are used to make animated movies. Another animated movie type is the stop motion technique, where clay figures, puppets, and paper cutouts are used to make. In the following there are some types of animation movies:

• Traditional Animation– Here the animators are drawn by hand.

• Digital 2D Animation- Animators are made by 2-dimensional space.

• Digital 3D Animation- Using computer software to make unrealistic cartoons to the realistic one.

• Stop-Motion Animation- In this type of movie, we find a static object can move.

• Mechanical Animation– Mechanical animations are used in this type of movie.

• Puppetry Animation- Here in this type of movie, where puppets are used instead of objects.

In the following, there are some famous animation movie production houses and some of their famous movies. 

Old Context Vs. New

At first, there were only animation movies where a beautiful white princess is suffering from some personal issues where a prince charming comes and takes the lead of her sorrowful devastating life. There was also hero lead movies, where a prince is just fighting only for his crown.  Another was a romantic context movie, where the boy and the girl got married and they lived happily ever after. But now the times have changed so do the patterns of animation movies. Now we see movies on wars, social contexts, strong will power, self-motivating, and so on.

There are some war movies based on reality. For example, The Grave of Fireflies is a semi-autobiography movie in the context of Nagasaki and Hiroshima in Japan. The movie shows Nosaka’s experience in the firebombing of Kobe city. 

Movie Waltz of Bashir is a documentary animation movie on the 1982 Lebanon war. Based on the repressed memory of Ary Folman. 

We also find some self-motivating and strong-willed movies. For example- From the movie Moana we find a beautiful girl Moana, who tries to change her village ‘Motunui’ from the anger of ‘Te Fiti’. In the movie “The Princess and the Frog” we find a beautiful Princess Tiana, who is a strong-willed woman. We can also talk about princess Merida from the movie “Brave”. The free-spirited and fiery young woman who did not want to be a crowned princess and get married to some sort of prince. She saved her mother Elinor from black magic. From the movie, “Frozen”, we see princess Elsa of Arendelle, had the magical power to control snow and ice. She learned to control her power and use it for the good of her country.

1. UP (2009)

Plot: At first, I want to talk about the movie UP. The movie depicts a story about a guy named Carl Fredricksen, who wants to fulfill his dead wife’s last wish by traveling Paradise Falls with his house tied by a thousand balloons.

2.Moana

Plot: Number 2 on the list is Moana. In the movie, we find a girl named Moana, who was chosen by the ocean to make a fight with the anger of Te Fiti with the demigod Maui.

Plot: Dumbo depicts the story of a young circus elephant who has big ears. Later on, he discovers that he can also fly with his enormous ears.

Plot: A girl named, Rapunzel, who had 70 feet of golden beautiful hair, been locked in an isolated tower for many years. It is about her journey of running from the tower and find her identity with the help of Flynn Rider.

Plot: The wind rises is a story of Jiro Horikoshi, who is a fighter aircraft designer used by Japan at the time of World War 2.
