Dreams are the visions that we see while we sleep or unconsciously. As simple as that. It’s generally a series of thoughts, images, sensation stories that we lived in the previous day or the past that affected us somehow. But, that’s not the definition I am going to talk about today.

In our childhood, we all had dreams of becoming something that we admired to be in the future. Some were already decided by themselves, and their parents decided some. However, this game mostly changes once we grow up. The choices and goals that we took then are subjects that may vary due to the situations or the environment we are surrounded with, and holding onto a childhood dream may not always be viewed in quite the same way. That is precisely where the main problem lies.I wanted to be an artist, but I didn’t get to decide what I want to become in the future but to follow what my parents told me to be (That’s when my dream got broken). Being a brilliant student made my parents so proud of me, and bragged about me in public most of the time. For that, they even have decided that I would become a doctor in the future. But, I discovered that I wouldn’t say I liked seeing blood or even getting needles. So how could I become a doctor? When I discussed this matter with them, they became so disappointed, and their dream of seeing me becoming a doctor got broken here.

Dreams are the hope that keeps us looking forward to the future. Nowadays, suicide cases arise among the youth just because they failed to fulfill their life goal and end up with broken dreams. As a result, a broken soul.
