So in this age of the 21st century, the term feminism isn’t alien to us; it’s relatively common in the Western world. When women use their gender to obtain certain privileges, then it is known as toxic femininity. The whole concept of Feminism is a facade and a plot from Iblis to mislead the ummah. It’s evident that feminist ideology clashes with Islamic teachings and is cancerous for the ummah. Cancer might be cured in many cases, but this toxic trait of Feminism cannot be cured of the minds of such feminists. The opposite of misogyny is misandry, the hatred or dislike of men, which is evident among the feminists of this generation.

The rally and protests that modern feminists carry out to empower women are nothing but immorality and facade. They insinuate that they are empowering women but is that the case? The clear answer is no. Let’s dig deep into it.

Why Feminism incites misandry

The sheer number of women supporting modern Feminism is alarming. They are deluded by the false notion of women empowerment, while in reality, it’s nothing like that at all. Feminists usually have a common hatred for men; yes, I said it. Feminists can’t stand men. This hatred is seen on the internet, in rallies, during protests, and in many places. Even in the workplace, many men fall victim to these feminists in the Western world. No one can deny this. Yes, equal rights do matter, but this is no excuse to act the way they work towards men. 

Islamic Perspective on Feminism

Islam does did not make things like working and studying haram for women. Islam did, however, set a boundary, and if we abide by these boundaries, there is no problem. Does the question arise that why aren’t women treated the same as men? Well, to answer that, let’s take a look at a present-day scenario. Statistics show that 30% of researchers are women worldwide, and the number will only rise as time passes. Women are doing so much better now compared to 100 years ago. Islam doesn’t suppress women. Islam encourages women to learn. Isn’t it the case in terms of our mother, Aisha(R.a), wife of the Prophet Muhammad(PBUH)? She is one of the most outstanding hadith scholars of all time. She is known for narrating 2,210 hadiths on different Islamic matters, and her role in Islam is immense.

Let’s cut to the point. We didn’t need Feminism when Allah SWT granted our Muslim women rights before the Western world even considered women to be treated equally. Allah SWT gave us the shariah law and commanded us to follow it. Listen, my dear fellow Muslim sisters out there, He(SWT) has infinite wisdom, and in His vast knowledge, He perfected the religion of Islam. Innovating new concepts such as Feminism, demanding more rights than Allah SWT already gave us, is transgressing against our limits. We need to teach ourselves to be content with Allah SWT’s divine laws and accept it as the final way of life till the Day of Judgement. In Islam, we are expected to show submission to the will of Allah SWT, and only then will we be able to attain eternal bliss and eventually Jannah.

Why Feminism is worse than cancer

Yes, I said it. It’s worse than cancer because cancer can be cured, but this feminist mentality is worse than that. It degrades women in the worst ways imaginable. Western feminists show no sign of haya(modesty). They roam around attending protests and rallies half-naked and claim that the freedom of nudity allows them to feel empowered. Imagine how deluded they are. They are the worst of hypocrites. They claim that women should have the freedom to wear whatever they wear. Still, in the same way, when Muslim women cover themselves up, wearing a hijab or niqab, and are victims of Islamophobia, then those same feminists turn a blind eye in the case of the Muslims. Yes, that’s the reality of it. The feminists are armies of Iblis trying their best to lower our iman to the point when we question the laws set forth by Allah SWT.

The future of Feminism

While showing the false notion of liberating and giving women equal rights, the feminists are degrading women. We need to try our best to protect our women from such dangerous ideologies. As guardians over our female counterparts, we need to ensure that our sisters, mothers, and daughters are not easily brainwashed by these modern ideologies and stick with the Quran and Sunnah. Men need women to do the things a man cannot do, and we need femininity in our life, not masculinity from a female. Sisters, you are unique, and you don’t need to compete in the things a man does; your femininity sets you apart from the males. Cherish that trait. Be proud of being a woman. We need equity, not equality. You have your part to play, and we have ours. Our results might be the same, but we don’t necessarily need to take the same paths. Women worldwide deserve to be treated with respect and have the same opportunities as men, but that does not mean they have to hate men or act immorally.

Being treated equally doesn’t mean there needs to be hatred towards the opposite gender.

Conclusion

To sum it all up, we already have a perfected religion that contains all the guidelines on how to lead the best life, and that is our most significant gift as Muslims, which is Islam. We don’t need Feminism to empower women; Islam already gave rights to women 1400 years ago. However, we do need to provide equal opportunities for women when it comes to education and work. Let’s face it. We need doctors, teachers, scientists, etc. When it comes to childbirth, we demand a female doctor. Many cases like this exist, and without a doubt, women are the other half of society; they are our counterparts. In the last Khutbah of our beloved Prophet Muhammad(PBUH), he commanded men to treat women kindly and with respect. So if we misbehave with our wives or daughters, we will be disobeying the messenger(PBUH). Feminism and other such ideologies are a curse for the ummah, apparent innovations. The reason why concepts like feminism rise are because we don’t treat women the way they deserve to be treated. Yes, we aren’t following Islam properly. If we did, then they would not feel like we weren’t treating them right. The solution is to go back to correctly following Islam and follow the rules set by Allah SWT. The further we are from the sunnah and Shariah, the further away from Allah SWT.
