The Google Pixel 6 Pro is the newest addition to Google’s lineup of state-of-the-art smartphones. Every year, Google comes up with unique and feature-heavy flagship phones, and this year is no exception. This year’s Google flagship models are equipped with the Tensor Chipset, which rivals the Snapdragon 888+ processor. This specific model is bound to capture a market segment that aims to stand out from the rest of the crowd.

The pros of this device include the following:

1. Stunning hardware design with IP68 protection and Victus Gorilla Glass Victus covering the entire device.

2. Excellent display with a 120Hz refresh rate and excellent sunlight readability.

3. The UI has a joyful and vibrant feel to it.

4. New Voice Typing and on-device voice-to-text conversion are wonderful additions to
the device’s firmware support.

5. In terms of overall performance and visuals, the Tensor chip from Google is an outstanding choice.

6. Pixel’s picture and video photos have received a much-needed upgrade; the 4X periscope camera has produced some stunning results. 

The cons include the following: 

1. The battery life falls short of what was expected. 2.

2. In the packaging, there is no charger.

3. Even with 30W, the charging time isn’t very rapid.

4. In static shots, HDR+ is overly harsh and might use a few changes.

5. Inconsistent color calibration between the primary and ultrawide-angle lenses.

6. Under sustained peak performance, the Google Tensor processor throttles.

Using the new chipset, Google’s computational photography can run faster than ever before, thanks to improved on-device language processing.

All of the camera sensors on the Google 6 Pro are bigger than those on prior Pixel devices. According to Google, it can catch 2.5 times more light than the Pixel 5’s 12.2MP primary sensor, a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL GN1. Periscope Telephoto camera: 48MP with 4X optical zoom; ultra-wide camera: new 12MP sensor; and 48MP periscope camera telephoto Camera: 48MP. There is now a front-facing camera with an 11.MP sensor and 4K video-recording abilities. Real Tone, a series of camera changes and upgrades that correctly capture individuals of various skin tones, was also launched by Google to improve the camera’s facial recognition.

Alternatives and other recommendations

If your budget is greater than $1,000, you should consider either the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra or Oneplus 9 Pro, both of which have 67W fast charging, which the Pixel 6 pro lacks.

Other recommendations would be the Samsung S21 ultra and the iPhone 13 pro max.

Everything has its advantages and disadvantages. Undoubtedly, this phone is excellent but might not appeal to a lot of people out there. Some people demand 67W fast charging, while others want 120W fast charging like Xiaomi’s flagship models. Nonetheless, the Pixel 6 Pro is a fantastic phone and, in my opinion, an excellent purchase.
