“Cake”- if we think about this word, the vision of a beautiful dessert comes before us. It is a baking item. But to make a cake is not a piece of cake. One needs to follow specific processes to bake a cake. Firstly, we need to decide what type of cake we will make a chocolate cake, vanilla sponge cake, cheesecake, etc. Secondly, we need to organize all the necessary equipment and ingredients to start the baking process. Also, for making a fluffy cake, we need to separate dry and wet ingredients. Thirdly, we need to beat wet ingredients for 10/15 minutes with a hand whisk or electric beater. Then, slowly we have to add dry ingredients to the batter. We can add different food colors to the batter to make it more eye-catching. Later, we need to transfer the ready batter to a suitable cake mold. Fourthly, we need to make cake frosting. There are various elements from which we can make cake frosting, e.g., butter and icing sugar, whipped cream.  After that, we can bake the cake in an oven or on a stove. In total, one needs to spend an hour to bake a delicious cake. After the baking is done, we can add different designs on top it with buttercream or whipped cream to make it more attractive and appealing. Finally, after following all the processes accurately, a mouthwatering, beautiful cake can be made. So, cake baking is that task which is a combination of one’s sincere attention and reasonable effort.

I get off my bed and step on my comfy grey woolen flip flops. Looking at my feet, I realize the cold atmosphere left my skin thirsty for moisture. But no, I have much more important to do. I go to my bathroom and brush my teeth. The small open window gave me chills as the wind blew through my spines. As I wash my face, the ice-cold water freezes my skin. I need warm hugs! I know the exact thing I need now. I get out and get my crepe pink cardigan. Ahh! It’s warm here.

I walk towards the bedside table to get my glasses and then enter the kitchen. The morning birds have started singing outside. The sun is still dreaming. I get my kettle, fill it with that same ice-cold water that I used a while ago to wash my face, and then I let it boil. I feel the warmth of the flames as I put my hands near it. Where are you, my love? I breathe the air of satisfaction as I watch the coffee bag sitting on the kitchen countertop. I take the dark brown coffee bean and grind them. Putting the coffee beans in my new clear kettle, I watch the coffee slowly blending in the boiling water. It’s just like magic in a kettle. The smell of the coffee tickles my nose and attracts me toward it. I get my special edition coffee mug and pour the hot coffee in it. The aroma from the black coffee warmed my heart. I hold the mug and went to my desk. I sit down and open the final chapter of ‘Wuthering Heights’. Taking a sip of my coffee, I look at my window and see the sun peeking through all that mist. A perfect winter morning! I open the book and start reading as I take a sip of that coffee. Every sip of that magical drink is making me grateful for every drop of water I used in this coffee. What a feeling! The perfect thing any coffee lover and bookworm would ever want on a chill winter morning like this. I feel myself dissolving in those pages, words, and letters of the book. Soon, even before I realize I get lost in the forest of words, the world of books, my imagination, deep thoughts in my mind. So, I’m sitting with some deep thoughts, a mug of coffee that is still warm, a good book on a cold winter morning.
